MANDALAS MADE EASY module one BADGE

The first mandala construction technique here in Mandalas Made Easy is the one I turn to most often in my own practice. It is also the one I was most afraid of in the beginning!

Mastering the mandala grid will provide you with an endless repertoire of mandala designs to keep you engaged and fulfilled. I wish I had learned how to work with this method long before I did.

Find out what you need to get started in the video below and follow along with the demonstrations. Don’t forget to leave a comment and share your mandala grid experience with me.

Enjoy!

MANDALA DAYS

contemporary mandala practice for the awakening artist.

Join me throughout 2018 to create a collection of mandala art with true meaning.

In Mandala Days, we will awaken and cultivate our connection to the creative fire that burns within each of us and connects all of existence.

Each month we will make mandala art as a response to our individual inquiry, where the creative process forms the ground of our personal practice.

Through this practice we realise the actualisation of the artist archetype that resides in each of us.

Mandala Days is an invitation to realise that which already resides within you, providing a container and process where it is safe to emerge.

In Mandala Days you will learn how to decipher maximum meaning from your creative practice and mandala images.

Your understanding will come through your own direct experience, by attending to regular practice within the structure and guidance of the program.

Over twelve months you will develop your unique mandala style by engaging with three foundation practices, and as part of this process bear witness to your personal symbolism.

What it’s like to take an in-depth mandala workshop with Julie.

I would recommend this course to others, without doubt it has improved my life in so many ways. I have realised that by journalling and making mandalas as often as I have time for has quite simply made me happier! Through self-exploration I have been encouraged to look deeply into things I have shied away from in the past. At times I have cried and yet I have moved towards forgiveness and I am so much more aware of the amazing world around me. The Facebook group and Julie’s gentle, encouraging teaching have both provided a supporting place to learn about myself.

Mandala Magic Program

Julie has created a unique and stunning program. Recommend most highly. I am an admirer of Carl Jung and with Julie’s class, videos, pdfs and supplementary material I have gone deep! Julie is full of charisma, has a soothing voice, exceptional tech support/troubleshooting, prompt response and most importantly the material is amazing. Several participants say this is their 2nd or 3rd time in a row to take the course. Now I understand why!

Mandala Magic Program

I first took Mandala Magic in 2016 and again in 2017. It is the only course that I have taken (and I have taken a lot!) that I don’t want to end. Not only do I get to indulge my creative, artsy side by creating mandalas, I get to gain insight into myself, my psyche, archetypes and learn so much through the process and reflections. I cry, I laugh, I heal, I understand me so much more and am amazed at all I have learned about my self and the Great Round through this course. I would recommend this course to anyone who wanted to dig deeper and understand themselves at a deeper level. Life changing indeed. Thank you!

MANDALA DAYS

contemporary mandala practice for the awakening artist.

Creating mandala art as the expression of your self inquiry practice allows you to communicate with the otherwise inexpressible.

It cultivates your understanding of the creative process as a deeply embedded archetypal force that can, if ignored, result in a continued cycle of dissatisfaction, disappointment and disease.

This fracture of your whole, truest self can leave you confused, exhausted, unfulfilled and always seeking answers from outside your direct experience.

Working with the mandala in a conscious fashion, we can reclaim the harmony in our lives and bring our creative practice right into the very heart of our every day.

  1. So much fun to do this with you!!! Thank you so much for offering this. You are such a treasure Julie! It’s great to go back to the beginnings and revisit these patterns and gain some more tips and insights. A nice way for me to get back into art making and also really inspires me to a new kind of journalling adventure. Lovely. Many thanks!

  2. Hi Julie, thank you so much for this latest offering to us, it’s very beautiful to watch. I am still on module one at the moment, haven’t mastered the compass to create my grid. I bought a new stainless steel one, but I think I must be too heavy handed, as it keeps slipping out of the measurements for me, sigh….. Perhaps I’ll try doing free hand mandalas, I love this concept. Thanks again, beautiful mandalas. Best wishes Wendy x

    • Ah, Wendy! Compasses take practice 🙂 Lots of it. The trick really is to make sure your point is secure and let the compass do most of the work … That being said, it’s worth experimenting with the length of your nib as well – sometimes that can affect things. I do hope you find your way to this amazing tool sometime – so many gifts to offer. Enjoy your free-handing meantime xo

  3. Hello Julie
Thank you so much for the Mandala beginner videos.
I really struggle to draw and struggle even more to enjoy drawing! I’m not naturally an artistic person…maybe I haven’t found my forte yet!

As a gardener I like to take the winter months to learn something new. I’ve previously taught myself to knit and learnt to become a beekeeper!

This year I was at a loss…until your Mandela lessons came by my Facebook feed.
I signed up to your email and here I am. I’ve followed your steps 1 by 1 and managed to draw my first Mandala.. .totally copied yours but that’s the way to learn.
I’ve really enjoyed the process and am really pleased with the result.
I’m not sure how to post a picture of it here so I cant share it with you.

I’m looking forward to watching more videos of the process and creating more mandalas myself.
    Thank you again.

  6. Your explanations and demonstrations make it all so easy to access what I once thought was a really complex form. Since watching this first module I’ve made several mandalas and love to start my day or end my day by creating one, even if it’s just the drawing. (so much better than zoning out to the telly!)

I also find your voice easy and soothing to listen to. It sounds full of mandala practice of centering.

I was struggling with inadequacy in drawing skills, wanting to paint and draw but not knowing where to begin without needing hours and hours of practice in order to create something I liked. With your easy step by step videos, I can begin right away to create mandalas that are pleasing, with no frustration that it doesn’t look quite right or isnt like ‘the real thing’.

Thank you for making this profound art form easily accessible. I’ve signed up to Mandala Days and am looking forward to developing my skills, techniques and insight and centering over the coming year.
