Did you ever ask if this is all there is, all there would be?

Did you ever wonder?

Did you ever greet the next day at the top of a hill bathed in the brightest of light?

Did you ever go in search of a cuckoo’s call?

Did you ever gaze into a buzzard’s eyes instead?

Did you ever  place your hand over your heart lest it burst on a railway path?

Did you ever let the tears fall, your heart leaking from your eyes?

Did you ever stand still for five minutes and listen to the birdsong?

Did you ever sit down at the waters edge your body trembling in response?

Did you ever know that here was your answer?

Did you ever know that of course this is all there is, this is all there ever needs to be?

Did you ever discover that it was already too much?

When we awaken to the call of beauty, we become aware of new ways of being in the world, we were created to be creators. At its deepest heart, creativity is meant to serve and evoke beauty. ~ John O’Donohue
